The kids have been having a go at embroidery!
I put some hessian in a small hoop and threaded the needle.
They chose the colours and did the stitching.
Our Dear Boy (6) did the outer circle and Our Dear Girl (3) did some of that crazy stuff in the middle.
Destined to become a mama’s treasured cushion I reckon.
Oh, memories… I used wool on hessian to embroider a ‘portrait’ of my Dad back when I was a young’un. He still has it hanging up in his shed!
Hey there long time listener, first time caller, I too graduated from the school of hessian embroidery. Mine was had oak leaves in green wool. It remains an unfinished work…somewhere!
