Well I did not get to cast on…the shop where I could get some needles had closed down – who knew three months away could be such a long time?  So needles are on order now and will come in the post in the next couple of days.

Thwarted yes but it was a great opportunity to dive into the study I share with my Man and start sorting out my area ready for a brand new year of making useful and beautiful things.  The first thing that greeted me was a rather large pile of hemming. Next all my old friends: sewing machine and overlocker, my tins of haberdashery, the button jar, the favourite books.  Welcome home me.

I finished that hemming and I feel good.
