Our dear girl lost her mittens in York, so my last knitting job before we left UK was to make a new pair.  These are made roughly from Petite Purls – Stars or Stripes Mittens by Odessa Reichel.  I used 3mm needles all the way through cos that’s what I had.  I also made the bands much narrower so that I could get two mittens out of the one ball of yarn.  I also knitted an 3 stitch i-cord that goes through the sleeves of a jacket so that these are never lost. I’ve also knitted an i-cord for our dear boy’s mitts too.  It is too cold now to loose our mittens.
